Kelly began his undergraduate studies in Mechanical Engineering until he took an elective art class and found his true passion in photography and graphic design. After graduating with a BFA in Photography, Kelly specialized in commercial, studio and sports photography, including being an official photographer for the Dallas Burn soccer team.
In 1995, Kelly joined the law firm of Cowles & Thompson as their firm-wide graphic designer, videographer and video editor. While at C&T, Kelly introduced the use of computers to create demonstratives, replacing the hand-generated methods previously used. Kelly was then hired by a Dallas trial support company to help them expand their offerings into multi-media courtroom presentations beyond traditional board demonstratives.
Since starting Barnes & Roberts in 1998, Kelly has spent thousands of hours in war rooms and courtrooms. His clients depend upon his strong analytical and organizational skills, technical acumen and his photographer's eye for good design.
